FC Regina is proud to announce that we have been selected to participate in Year 3 of the TELUS She CAN Coach program, a national initiative led by Canada Soccer aimed at empowering more women to enter and thrive in coaching roles. This program plays a vital role in closing the gender gap in youth soccer and ensuring that girls across the country see themselves reflected in leadership positions within the sport.
She CAN Coach works in partnership with community clubs to create structured pathways for recruiting, developing, and supporting women coaches at the grassroots level. Through mentorship, education, and hands-on learning opportunities, the program strengthens the foundation of Canadian soccer by making the sport more inclusive, representative, and accessible.
At FC Regina, we believe that soccer is more than a game—it is a place of community, belonging, and growth. Our club has long been committed to ensuring that every athlete feels supported and encouraged, and participating in the She CAN Coach program aligns directly with this mission. By expanding opportunities for women in coaching, we are not only enhancing our programs but also providing young players with strong role models who inspire confidence, leadership, and resilience.
We are excited to begin this journey with TELUS She CAN Coach and Canada Soccer, and we look forward to helping build a future where girls know they belong on the field, and women know they belong on the sidelines leading the way.
