The Regina Soccer Referees Association (RSRA) is inviting new referees to join the officiating team for the upcoming 2025-26 Indoor Season. To prepare interested individuals, the RSRA will host its traditional Entry-Level Referee Clinic on Saturday, September 20, running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Entry-Level Clinic is open to participants aged 14 and older and is designed to introduce new referees to the game. The process to become certified involves two steps:
Online Theory Course - Participants must first complete the Canadian Soccer Association’s (CSA) online course on the FIFA Laws of the Game. This course must be finished by September 14 and costs $30 per person.
In-Person Entry-Level Clinic - Following the online portion, referees must attend the RSRA’s full-day, in-person clinic on September 20. The cost of the clinic is $150 per participant, and space is limited to 20 participants.
It is important to note that, unlike in past seasons, the RSRA will not be offering a Small-Sided Clinic (for ages 12-13) this indoor season. However, another Small-Sided Clinic is expected to be scheduled ahead of the 2026 Outdoor Season in April or May.
The minimum age requirements for referee training are set by the CSA and are non-negotiable. Registration instructions for the online modules and clinic will be provided to interested individuals directly.
