2024 Adult Winter Information


Team registration for the 2023-24 Indoor Winter Season will be open from Friday December 8 until Monday, January 8.  To help with planning, please get your registration submitted at your earliest convenience.  Player registration will also open on Friday December 8.  All adult players who have completed registration prior to December 30 will be entered into a draw for one of three chances to win your registration back.   In order to qualify you will need to be registered and have payment submitted.  You are still eligible if you select the installment plan and the initial payment is completed. We are gearing up for a January 22 kick off to the season.  All games will take play in the AffinityPlex.  We will schedule around tournament weekends but do our best to limit the number of times teams will play multiple games in a week.  Men’s, Women’s, Masters, Legends playoffs will run April 8-21 with Coed playoffs April 19-21.  Please note that playoffs may not fall on regular league days dependent on the number of teams in the division.  The league season will consist of 10 league games plus playoffs.  Players who register in both Fall and Winter seasons will receive a discount of $80.85 on their Winter registration.

 

Minimum Roster for Men’s and Women’s Division 1 and Division 2 will be 14 players.  Men’s Division 3-6, Women’s Division 3 and all Coed Divisions will be 11 players.

 

There has not been an increase in the cost of registration.  The fees for the Indoor Fall Season are as follows:

Men’s and Women’s Division 1 and Division 2 will play 9v9 format on the half field. All other Divisions will play 6v6 on a quarter field. All leagues will play 2 - 25-minute halves with a 3-5 minute half-time.

Important Information

  • We had gauged interest for a Women's Masters divisions.  At this time we will not move forward as purposed.  We will look at potentially offering some drop in sessions for this division to give players an opportunity 

 

  • We have decided to add a “Legends” division for the Winter Season. This is intended for players 45 years of age and older.  To be eligible players registering in this division would be born prior to January 1, 1978. 

 

  • The Permit Player rule (guest player) has changed. You can only use permit players to replace a player on your roster.  Players who are not attending a game will be crossed off and you will be able to have a player sub in their place (within the eligibility guidelines).  If the player who was crossed off were to come late and a permit player has already played in the game, the registered player cannot play.  Players who request a refund will be removed from the roster and not eligible to have a guest player replace them.  A player who is listed as suspended on the roster is eligible to be replaced by a guest player. 

 

  • We have brought back a new variation of the previous “Guest Pass.” Similarly, to before, the pass gives you 5 games to play throughout the regular season.  You can play with any team that you are eligible to play with (must meet age and league requirements).  Now here is the difference. The new (RE)Discover Pass is intended for new players (anyone who has not played with FC Regina since January 1, 2021. (Re)Discover Pass players do not have to replace a player on your roster to be eligible to play.  They can be in addition to your regular roster.  The cost for the (Re)Discover pass is $133.25. If a player decides to register for the remainder of the season once they have played their 5 games, the cost of the card would be deducted from the registration fee.

 

  • We have set registration up so that if you choose installment payments it is set up in 4 payments. Initial payment is due at the time you register.  The remaining payments are set up for January, February, and March 15th. Installment payments can only be set up for online payments. There will not be any exceptions.

 

  • Effective immediately, the option to select cash as a payment method is no longer available. This adjustment has been implemented to ensure a streamlined and efficient registration experience for all participants. The rationale behind this modification is to discourage incomplete registrations and ensure that all players have submitted their payment before being officially assigned. It is imperative to note that registration will be deemed incomplete until payment is received, and players will not be assigned to their respective teams until this requirement has been fulfilled. We believe that this alteration will contribute to a more organized and hassle-free registration process.

 

  • Players who were registered in 2023 Fall Season and are registering for 2024 Winter season are entitled to a discount of $80.85 for the league that you were registered in. Just as an example, if in the fall season you were registered in Masters and in Winter season you are registering in Masters and Coed, only one of your registrations would be eligible for this discount.  Use promocode I was registered FALL 2023 (enter the bold words as they appear) to apply the discount.  Please note:  Utilizing this code incorrectly, such as applying it without meeting the eligibility requirements or applying it to both the first and second registration, may result in a suspension of your registration until the issue is resolved.

 

  • For individuals registering in more than one league, we are pleased to introduce the "Multi-Team Discount" promo code. This code is specifically designated for members who are genuinely registered in two or more leagues. Please be advised that the use of this promo code is subject to eligibility criteria. It is essential that you only apply the "Multi-Team Discount" promo code to your second (and third) if you are legitimately registered in two or more leagues. Utilizing this code incorrectly, such as applying it without meeting the eligibility requirements or applying it to both the first and second registration, may result in a suspension of your registration until the issue is resolved.  Please note that if you applied the I was registered FALL 2023 promocode Ramp will not allow you to enter a second promocode.  In this case please email adult@fcregina.com and the discount will be applied from the back end.

 January 8 - Adult Liaison Committee (ALC) announcement of teams’ Proposed Placements by end of day.

 January 8- Scheduling Request Deadline

 January 8- Any teams that withdraw after 12:00 p.m. will be subject to a $300.00 fine to the team manager.

 January 8- Roster Requirement Deadline - 7 players

January 10 by Noon - Request Alternate Placement (must be submitted by email to adult@fcregina.com before noon January 10 by noon.)

January 10 by 5 p.m.- ALC Announcement of teams’ Final Placements

 January 12 - Adult Schedules Released.

 January 15 - Roster Requirement Deadline - 11 players quarter field/14 players half field

January 15- First Installment Payment Due. This option is only available for players who are setting up online payments. This will be taken from the same method of payment that is used for the first installment. There are no exceptions.

 January 22 - Adult Season Begins.

 February 15 - Second Installment Payment Due. This option is only available for players who are setting up online payments. This will be taken from the same method of payment that is used for the first installment.

 February 9- Prorated Registration begins.

 March 15 - Third Installment Payment Due. This option is only available for players who are setting up online payments. This will be taken from the same method of payment that is used for the first installment.

 March 18 by 3:30 p.m. - Last day to register on a team, transfer to a team, request a refund, or request to reschedule a game for the Indoor Fall Season.

 April 8-21 - Men’s, Women’s and Masters, and Legends Playoffs

 April19-21 - Coed Playoffs

 

With the number of games that we fit in to the league we will have regular league play during all long weekends and holidays. If there is a specific weekend(s) your team needs off, please submit a scheduling request with reasons by noon January 8 in writing to adult@fcregina.com. Not all requests are guaranteed but we will do our very best to accommodate everyone.
