Honouring the Legacy: FC Regina Hosts Inaugural Gio Sosa Memorial Tournament 

In a heartfelt tribute to a beloved member of their community, FC Regina proudly announces the inaugural Gio Sosa Memorial Tournament, slated to take place from August 16th to 18th, 2024. This special event will unfold across the vibrant venues of the AffinityPlex on REAL District, Mount Pleasant Sports Park, and Leibel Field, promising a weekend of spirited competition and cherished camaraderie.

Competition Details: 

The tournament kicks off on Friday evening, with games commencing as early as 6PM. Teams will vie for victory in two competitive divisions: Men’s and Women’s. In the spirit of inclusivity and friendly competition, Intermediate/Recreation divisions are also available for both Men’s and Women’s teams.

Competitive divisions will engage in 11v11 matches on full fields, with games comprising two 40-minute halves. 

Intermediate/Recreation divisions will embrace a 9v9 format on half fields, featuring two 30-minute halves.

Cash prizes await the triumphant teams, with a generous reward of $1500 earmarked for each Competitive division winner and $1000 for the Intermediate/Recreation champions.

To secure participation in this commemorative event, teams must register and submit payment at http://fcregina.rampregistrations.com before the deadline on July 22nd, 2024.

Competitive Men’s and Women’s Fee: $750 per team

Intermediate/Recreation Men’s and Women’s Fee: $650 per team
