Are you passionate about good governance and want to make a meaningful impact in our soccer community? We're looking for dedicated individuals to join our Governance Committee!
ROLE AND SCOPE:
As a standing committee, the Governance Committee receives directives from the Board of Directors. Our goal is to provide recommendations on policies, structures, and other matters to enhance the Board's ability to exercise effective governance.
COMMITTEE MEMBERS:
Appointed by the Board, committee members will serve alongside a minimum of three individuals. The Chairperson, designated by the Board, will be a Director. Your commitment will be from appointment until resignation, committee restructuring, or removal by the Board.
COMMITTEE MANDATE:
Develop Board materials, best practices, and responsibilities
Review By-Laws, Rules and Regulations, proposing changes if needed
Develop and review Board policies and procedures
Facilitate Director orientation and Board development
Assess Board performance and governance practices
Advise on governance issues as they arise
